R.E.C. offers Department of Labor approved Sheet Metal and Plumbing apprenticeships through Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC). These apprenticeships are available to R.E.C. team members who have been with us for over a year and want to further develop their skills in plumbing or sheet metal work. Each apprenticeship is a four year program that targets skills in craftsmanship, math, safety, and industry codes and practices. Apprentices from our San Antonio branch take their apprenticeship courses at St. Phillips College, an Alamo Community College District school. Apprentices from College Station take their courses at the Construction Education Foundation’s (CEF) Dallas/Fort Worth location. Every apprentice who graduates from our apprenticeship programs leaves with expert knowledge in their field and a strengthened passion to serve the health and safety of their community.
